The seafront and 130 m² villa Banian is 40 km from the airport in the east of Mauritius in the village of Trou d’eau Douce, however only 10 minutes by boat from the well-known “île aux Cerfs”.

Villa Banian is on the outskirts of the village with a peaceful view of the bay; A few yards away the pirogues of the fishermen, the jetty for the boats to Ile aux Cerfs, therefore it is lively, typical and charming.

Villa Banian is very inviting for couples or families, as it offers : 1) in addition, the service of a housekeeper who prepares lunch 2) a private and fenced garden, 3) a private pool hidden from outside views, 4) all bedroom with sea-views.

The jetty to Ile aux Cerfs is 100 meters from the house,  and the beautiful beaches of Palmar and belle mare are only 1 km away.

Villa Banian is built in lava stone in the typical Mauritian style and very cosy. The kitchen is open to the living room and spacious, fully equipped.

From the pool you have a fantastic view on the lagoon, importantly on Sunrise and Moonrise!

Details

The mansion can accommodate up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms and double beds and air condition. All bedrooms face the pool and the sea.

The main bedroom has a bathroom en suite with shower/sink/wc ; There is a second bathroom with shower/sink and 1 separate WC.

The housemaid comes 6 x/week except on public holidays; she does the cleaning, the beds, laundry of linen; same housemaid also prepares lunch if you do the shopping; she’ll tell you what she needs for Mauritian specialties. She lives nearby and can also cook in the evening for a small extra fee;

Guests can do their first basic shopping at the small shop behind the villa, also you can reach shops and Restaurants within walking distance.

Trou d’eau douce is a small authentic Mauritian fisherman’s village with small food shops, typical restaurants and mini markets; The place is animated with the boats in the lagoon; they’ll take you to l’ile aux cerfs and nearby islands. The locals meet on the jetty to chat and listen to the Sega music, so it is not always calm!

The view from the house on the bay is great ! Enjoy to relax under the centennial banyan tree near the pool , which adds even more authenticity to the place.
