What is the Best Time to Visit Mauritius

The best time to visit Mauritius is from May to December when the weather is cool, dry and sunny.

The country has two seasons: a warm humid Summer and a relatively cool dry Winter.

The Summer extends from November to April.

The Winter is form June to September.

The month of October and May are commonly known as the transition months.

It is warm and pleasant throughout the year though and water temperatures in the Indian Ocean are also ideal for swimming.

We do not recommended as the best time to visit Mauritius the wet cyclonye season. Cyclone season is from January to March. it is also suggested to avoid the east coast area in July and August, when the wind is at its strongest.

Each of the periods have some advantages and disadvantages and this is why it is best to take into account all the different factors before making the final decision on when visiting Mauritius.

The warmest weather occurs during the month of February while the coolest temperatures tend to hit during July. 

In general, the western and northern regions are warmer and drier than those in the east and south.

Mean summer temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius and mean winter temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius. 

The wettest months are February and March. The driest month is October.
