Villa La Cocoteraie, 320 M2, is located in a quiet area, far away from tourism in the south of the Island, while near the most beautiful golf courses of the Island, as well as only

5 minutes by car from le Morne Brabant where you will find water sports facilities.

The south coast is wild and natural in addition to  beautiful beaches and cliffs further to the east.

The property

The Villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden of high palm trees, with the sea at the left and a great view of the well-known Mountain Le Morne at the right.

The very large property of ancient Mauritian family is typical and has been opened to tourism only a few years ago, it is indeed rare …. thus, the villa is full of family furniture, photos and personal items, which gives a special touch that makes you feel at home.

In addition to the large expanse of grass and multiple coconut palms, there are lemon trees, exotic plants, many flowers! Undoubtedly peaceful and very special!

The beach opposite the property is of white and fine sand and the water is shallow for the first 10 meters, therefore ideal for small children while also very nice for swimming and snorkeling. The Bay is protected and for this reason possible to enjoy throughout the year. Right there, a water plane takes you to the top of the island to admire the beauty of the landscape. Book anytime!

The furniture of Villa La Cocoteraie is rustic chic.

Bedroom No.1:

One Queen bed ; The Master bedroom opens onto its own small terrace which overlooks the garden and  the swimming pool, with adjoining bathroom, shower, toilet plus outdoor shower. Air conditioning + ceiling fan.

Bedroom No.2:

Two single beds adjusted as a double bed with en suite bathroom, shower and toilet. The room opens onto the front terrace, pool and garden; Air conditioning + ceiling fan

Bedroom No.3:

One double Bed with en suite bathroom, shower, toilet Air condition

Bedroom No.4:

1 single bed. The small room serves more as an office than a bedroom. It opens onto the rear terrace; Ceiling fan.

Bedding and towels are provided for free (no beach towels);

The Kitchen is well equipped, with also a Nespresso machine (no caps); There is a filter on the tap in the kitchen, buying water is not necessary.

There is a baby cot, a highchair and a baby bathtub as well.

Services

Two maids work 6x/week at Villa La Cocoteraie, Moreover, the cook prepares meals for a small extra fee (about 5 Euros/hour) and also returns in the evening at same cost. She prepares mainly Mauritian specialties. Food and Beverage are not included.

What to do near Villa La Cocoteraie

A kite school is in the village of Le Morne at 15 walking distance; The international spot for kiting and windsurfing called « One Eye » is only 10 minutes away by car.

The bus comes every half hour during the day and stops in front of the property, though a car is recommended to visit the beautiful surroundings as Chamarel, Gorges of Black River, Souillac, Casela Park etc.

Whereas you can discover deep sea fishing In Le Morne or in Rivière Noire, you can rent a fishing boat in the nearby village of Le Morne for trips on the lagoon with the fishermen. We arrange boots tours too, such as swimming with the dolphins and whale watching; moreover, the boat will pick you up in front of the property;

The famous golf course of the hotel Le Morne Paradis and the golf course of Bel Ombre are at 5 and 15 min by car.

Restaurants are on the beach of Le Morne and in the hotels, also opened to non-residents, depending of the season; Small shops for basics are to be found in the village of Le Morne; A larger supermarket and some estaurants are at 8 km in la Gaulette.
