Location

Villa de l’Artiste with 180 m2 living space is 45 km from the airport on the Beach of Palmar, only 3 minutes from the typical Mauritian village of at Trou d’Eau Douce.

Details

The villa composed of 4 air-conditioned double bedrooms and 4 attached bathrooms has also a private pool and spacious terrace. Situated on second position and totally protected from winds it has direct access through the private garden and property to a beautiful sandy beach and a turquoise lagoon with your private long chairs. To point out, there is no road to cross and therefore safe for children.

The villa is fully equipped for 8 people, although it is also much enjoyable as a couple only…

In addition, there is a freshwater tower, thus we can order the bottles for you a shop rate; We provide all linen, towels and Beach towels for free.

Service

The Housemaid’s services are included in the morning for 4 hours. She can cook for a supplement to be discussed with her.

While the aera is safe, the villa is still fully secured with an alarm system. ADSL and Wifi are fast and free.

Surroundings

The village and shops are at 2 min. by car or 15 minutes’ walk only, or by bus, which stops at the back of the property; taxis are also available anytime at 150 meters; A large Supermarket “Winner’s “ is at 11 km.

Watersport facilites are to be found at the hotels. Moreover, the boat to Ile aux Cerfs and the waterfalls picks you up on your beach in front of the property if requested!

Adjacent to the property is the Hotel Sugar Beach, with possibilities of dancing and dining and especially watching typical Sega dances of Mauritius. They have a good a la carte Restaurants as well.

You fine more snacks, take aways and restaurants in the village, such as:

  1. Le cafe des Arts in an old renovated sugar mill of 1848, serving delicious French cuisine. Classical Music and exhibition of large paintings of Maniglier, the last student of Matisse. Unforgettable moments.

A deux pas de la plage Flipkey: Left on Apr 27, 2017 for a stay in Apr 2017 Excellent accueil de Maryse et Hervé dès notre arrivée avec dégustation de jus de coco dans la noix pour tous. Le dîner délicieux était prêt à réchauffer pour le premier soir. Maryse, qui est l'artiste, nous l'avons compris aux tableaux superbes qui décorent la villa, n'a pas compté son temps pour nous accompagner au village acheter du poisson ou même à l'hôpital pour notre fille qui a eu un problème de santé. Merci encore :) Les chambres sont grandes et la clim efficace. La piscine privée a été bien appréciée par toute la famille. La bonne cuisine très bien et s'occupe du linge. Les déjeuners dans le jardins en compagnie des oiseaux qui le peuplent nous ont ravi. La plage est à deux pas et "privée", au calme, où l'on peut se relaxer sur les lits et matelas de plage à disposition. Deux petites remarques, pour qu'à notre avis la villa soit encore plus agréable seraient un petit rafraîchissement de la cuisine et son ouverture sur la pièce à vivre et déplacer la terrasse pour déjeuner dehors devant la baie vitrée. Une adresse à recommander !

AirBnB November 2016 Es ist ein Haus mit sehr viel Charakter und Charme ein wunderschöhner Rückzugsort der Ruhe(URL HIDDEN) Der Gastgeber ein sehr freundlicher Herr und leidenschaftlicher Gärtner. Überall gedeihen Exotische Früchte, welchen wir uns auch zur genüge bedienen durften(URL HIDDEN) Lange Spaziergänge am Strand, die Sandkörner so weiss wie Schnee, dass wasser ist so blau wie im Bilderbuch. Es ist ein Ort des Geniessens

It is 30 meters away from a lovely beach on a beautiful lagoon, far from the crowd. Some day we almost felt we had the lagoon for ourselves. You can snorkel, swim and kite on the lagoon (we did kitesurf almost every day). Really perfect spot. The owners (Hervé and Maryse) live next door and are beyond helpful and nice. They went above and beyond our expectations, welcoming us with a great dinner, bringing great food and arranging for boat trips and other getaways. Their presence really made a big difference! The location of Trou d'Eau Douce is really great, far from the crowded places of the west, on a great beach, good wind for kitesurfing, a small boat drive away from l'ile aux cerfs (from which you can access the best kite spot of the entire east coast) and not too far from the west coast, north coast and even the lovely national parks from the center of the island. We'll go again, for sure!

Need a break? This is the perfect place for you! Flipkey: Left on Mar 14, 2016 for a stay in Mar 2016 What a great place to spend a holiday! We loved Mauritius and were so sad to leave and, undoubtedly, this charming villa in this excellent location, with own pool, maid who cleans, washes and cooks and the incredibly hospitable owners played a major part in why we loved it so much! A very short walk to the sandy beach (with plenty of shade) made its location extra-special with excellent snorkeling right there: we saw a turtle on our first day out snorkeling! We will definitely be back and won't hesitate to book this villa once again!
