Villa Lorizon

We have spent some days in Villa Lorizon and were amazed by Villa Lorizon, the people and Rodrigues overall of course. After being welcomed by Ken & Virginie we accommodated ourselves and shortly after the rented motorbikes were brought directly to the Villa, even though it was already getting dark outside. Amazing service! The Villa is perfect for a stay in Rodriguez, located up on a mountain with an amazing view towards the ocean. As it is relatively central on the island all points could be reached within short time. The Villa Lorizon is very cozy and large enough to accommodate several people. While the pool was somewhat small the surroundings are more then sufficient. We will never forget the great food that Virginie prepared everyday. Simply delicious and she was always happy to bring fresh food from the market, which was then cooked in local fashion. We loved it! We would recommend a stay on Rodrigues in Villa Lorizon to everyone - and have done so already hundreds of times. Would love to come back one way to this fabulous place! Thank you again for an amazing vacation.

L'avis du Petit Futé sur VILLA LORIZON Dans les hauts, à 10 minutes en voiture de la plage de Saint-François, c'est l'une des très rares villas de ce style à Rodrigues, tout en baies vitrées et ouverture sur l'extérieur, avec du béton ciré au sol, un toit fushia flashy, une cuisine rose et verte, un grand lit à baldaquins, une cheminée dans le salon et une déco d'ensemble qui se veut contemporaine mais demeure empreinte de touches rodriguaises - motifs fleuris et rampe d'escalier en fer forgé. Pas de concession sur le confort, de bon niveau (TV, DVD, Hifi, lits King size...), ni sur l'espace (240 m²), la lumière, la qualité globale des prestations. Le tout est vendu pour 2, mais largement assez spacieux pour 4 puisqu'en plus de la grande chambre principale, un autre espace-nuit se niche en mezzanine. A une vingtaine de mètres, une seconde maison indépendante peut accueillir un couple avec 1 ou 2 enfant(s). L'ensemble peut donc recevoir une famille ou un groupe d'amis de 4 adultes et 4 plus jeunes. Sur place : piscine avec vue panoramique sur la campagne alentour et le lagon au loin, vastes terrasses aménagées, douche extérieure. Incredible!! Unique experience staying here Flipkey: Left on Jun 18, 2017 for a stay in Feb 2017 Villa Lorizon felt like a paradise on earth to us, we stayed here in February 2017. If you are searching for a unique, very quiet place, that is perfect to relax, look no further. There are 2 seperated houses located on a big property and a lovely garden. What I really loved is all the different seating areas in and around the house. You will definitely find a nice spot to read your book. The views are simply breathtaking, overlooking the hills and ocean. There’s plenty of options to go for a hike, starting from the house. Provided that you are fit enough, you can easily walk to the beach, where almost no one else is around. The house itself is clean, and the kitchen very well equipped. There is a maid coming daily, she prepares delicious local dishes. The kids loved the cozy ‚mezzanines‘ located in both houses, featuring a double bed, that would fit adults, too. In the lower house is another 2 beds, with one of them being in the ‚mezzanine‘, a kitchen, a bathroom, table and seating area. It is lovely decorated and has a charming feel. We loved the big glass doors and windows, that always bring a refreshing breeze into the rooms. The road to the house was well managable, with the most part of it being partly sealed and the end being a dirt road. Would recommend a 4x4 drive, but nothing scary. Lorizon is a house with plenty of charm, unlike anything else, that we have seen! It is a truly unique experience staying here and we would love to come back!

Villa Lorizon is a calm, relaxing house to stay at. The house is fully equipped with everything you would need. The staff was very friendly and not intrusive at all. We had long conversations with Marie about the island and her family. The dinners they prepared for us were top notch as well. We would definitely stay again!

Flipkey: Left on Jan 23, 2017 for a stay in Jan 2017 Nous avons passé 10 jours dans cette somptueuse villa confortable, bien située et surtout au calme absolue en pleine nature! Une vue imprenable sur l'océan indien depuis notre chambre! Et pour ma part, je trouve que c'était un très bon rapport qualité/prix, avec une bonne qualité de service, un binôme parfait (cuisinière/gardien). Je recommande vivement cette maison qui a répondu aux attentes de toute la famille grâce à ses nombreuses commodités.
