Un petit coin de paradis Flipkey: Left on Apr 16, 2015 for a stay in Apr 2015 Bien qu’étant Mauriciens, mon mari et moi adorons passer des ptits w-end en amoureux dans ce petit coin de paradis. Le cadre est juste magique!!! Et que dire du fait d’être réveillés par des canards :) :). Et a quelques mètres a pied....la mer. Salle d'eau extérieur de même que la cuisine; quel changement!!! Olivier, le proprio est super gentil, n'hesitez pas a le contacter si besoin.

rustic boutique and a piece of heaven Flipkey: Left on Apr 7, 2015 for a stay in Oct 2014 My wife and I honestly couldn't rate this place enough. It was absolutely stunning. A short drive away from the best kitesurf and surfing spots (10 - 15 mins) and a very short stroll to lovely beaches for swimming. The Cabanon itself is a lovingly crafted beach hut... only it is much more than that. All the details are beautiful, from the outdoor twin showers to the shingle roof, and reclaimed floor boards and cladding. Lovely pond in front with cute ducks that visit every day and outdoor fireplace too. The family who own the place were great, as were their staff. They have an absolutely fantastic cook who will prepare your food in the main house and deliver for nights you want to stay in (my mouth still waters at the thought of the tuna in coconut and lime). There is all the kit for cooking your own too and the best place to buy fish is walking distance. Also highly recommend the roti shacks on the same street - bargain snacks / breakfast. We loved everything about Le Cabanon and Le Morne area. If you want a rustic experience, this is the place for you. I can only apologies it took me so long to write a review! Guess we need to go on holiday more often.. Kitesurfers / surfers: I had Chamua anything between 6 - 20ft with 20 - 30knots of cross/offshore wind most days - not for the faint-hearted (in fact a couple of days it was too big for me). The only respite from perfect kiting conditions was 4 - 8ft of surf at One Eye. Didn't even get a chance to go snorkelling or fishing! RE rustic - There will be a few of you out there that have problems with the odd insect or rodent... this place is set in nature so if you would rather somewhere complete sterile (having said that Le Cabanon is very clean) or without the odd creepy crawly then I would suggest this place isn't for you. For nature lovers, however, it is a piece of heaven... we hope to go back one day, certainly top of our list, only wish Mauritius was closer to the UK

AirBnB November 2014 Idyllischer, sehr ruhiger und traumhafter Ort. Schöne Outdoor Duschen. Gemütlich, sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Schöner Garten, lustige Enten. Mit Möglichkeit zum Grillen, draussen kochen und im Garten sitzen. Nächster großer Supermarkt 10 Minuten. Nur für Leute mit Auto! Kontakt mit Eigentümer rasch, unkompliziert und entgegenkommend!
