is a Cottage to rent for short term on the Island of RODRIGUES, which is 400 km from Mauritius and known as a small Paradise Island for its lonesome Beaches and lovely people.

Rodrigues is a must for nature lovers, especially for those who are looking for quietness.

The Cottage PapMam is nested in a residential area. Necessary commodities can be purchased few mins away by car. The bus stop is at walking distance.

PapMam of 110 m² living space and 2 terraces of 30 m² upon a hillside, just 8 minutes away from the beaches of Graviers and the little town of Mont Lubin. While it is a small town, you will find shops for basics and the daily market with fresh fish and meat. Add 15 minute’s drive to the Capital Port Mathurin  you get from nice Restaurants to Banks, rural shops and market. The supermarket Roussety has imported goods from Mauritius.

Enjoy the marvelous view and most beautiful sunrises on the lagoon and this from your Terrace.

The house is not only cozy, but practical with all you need. Newly renovated (2022) and nicely furnished for 6 guests (max 4 adults). 1 double bedroom on ground floor with bathroom en suite and 2 bedrooms in the Mezzanine also with 1 bathroom with shower, also WC.

Salon and dining, as well as the kitchen share 1 room; a second dining table is on the terrace and gives on the garden with a 180° view to the sea.

Generally, PapMam is quiet, as it is surrounded by nature. Nonetheless, as everywhere on the Island, people do play music very loud sometimes, you have goats, cows ..; That’s part of Rodrigues Charm!

Services

A Housemaid is at your services 2-3 days per week (except public holidays) .

The Housemaid does the laundry, change of bedlinen, and cleaning. In addition, a gardener tends to the property 1x/week.

On some days, and to be discussed upon arrival, her husband Bernard prepares delicious typical dishes for you. This service is not included and separate from the property’s services.

We provide Linen and towels without extra cost. Beside the good-equipped kitchen, you will find a dishwasher.

Surroundings

Not only the beautiful beaches, like Mourouk and Graviers, are easy to reach in only 8 minutes by Scooter or car, but other beaches such as St. Francois and Fumier are at 10 minutes too.

The best Deep Sea Fishing of the Indian Ocean is on our Island and only 5 min from Port Mathurin. You need to make reservation long in advance:  Rod Fishing Club Rodrigues

A well know and reputated international kite surf spot is less than
7kms – 10 mins in Mourouk
