OVERALL DESCRIPTION

The “Penthouse de la plage” is large and covers the entire floor including a private Lift, on one of the favorite beaches, Belle Mare Plage, 1 hour from the airport.

The “Penthouse de la plage” is part of the Aurore complex, with sleek and modern design set in a tropical landscaped garden with a common pool and deck, offering breathtaking sea views of the east coast lagoon.

Immediate neighbors are Long Beach Hotel and Solana Beach Hotel, with good restaurants.
It offers, long walks on our white sandy beach, pristine Water, Pool and Loungers, Watersport, Housekeeper, and modern comfort.

Water sports including diving and kite, also a selection of restaurants are next to the complex.  Not to forget the Waterpark at 5 minutes only.

THE PENTHOUSE

Same interior decorator of the top hotels of Mauritius, designed the interior of “Penthouse de la plage”. The kitchen is Italian made, plus 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds, 2 single beds, 2 bathrooms. A large dining room with a 10 seat table and living room/Smart TV, including Netflix.
2 bedrooms and the dining and living room have a view of the sea, as you may visualize from the photos and all bedrooms have air conditioning, including the living/dining room. 2 parking slots are allocated to the penthouse.

The apartment complex was developed on a plot of land of 6000 square meters in 2009 with a beachfront of 60 meters. The owners have managed to develop a six star property. Most of the new owners are relatives and close friends.
It’s an area of 320 square meters, 200 sq meters living areas and 120 square meters of open terrace.

Living area:

Large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen with gorgeous ocean views.  The lounge has a Smart TV with local channels and Canal Sat Channels, YouTube, and Netflix.  The dining table sits 10 people; there is another table and chairs on the terrace. It is air conditioned.

Kitchen:

Besides the big refrigerator in the kitchen, there is a separate wine/champagne fridge; Also modern oven, microwave, gas hobs, Nespresso machine (capsules not supplied) and dishwasher. Large Glass sliding doors open onto the roof terrace

Terrace:

The terrace is a large space as you can see on the pictures It has a partly covered Pergola with a table and chairs, Barbecue. 2 long chairs and more around the pool and garden to the beach. Amazing sea views.

Master Bedroom:

double bed with dressing/built-in wardrobes. It has air condition and opens on the terrace with view to the sea.

2nd bedroom:

double bed with built-in wardrobes.  It has air condition and opens on the terrace with sea views.

3rd bedroom:

2 single beds with built-in wardrobes. It has air condition and opens on its private large balcony.

Bathroom for room 2 and 3:

large shower, sink WC.

Plus: Laundry with washing machine.

COMPLEX

The complex has fifteen apartments in total, sharing an infinity pool (maximum depth of 1.6m).  The grounds are well planted and landscaped, with a gardener and a cleaner five days a week.  The complex has professional management  and is well kept.

SECURITY

The fenced and secure complex has CCTV cameras around the perimeter.  Security guards work around the clock.   The Apartment has  a safe large enough for a laptop.

SERVICES

Our Manager will welcome you. For late arrivals, we organise your first diner at extra cost if reserved latest 4 days before.

The housekeeper works 3 hours, 5 x /week. Discuss less hours/days with the Manager if you prefer more privacy.

She will clean, make the beds and change the sheets.

Linen and towels are available without extra cost.  Toiletries food and beverage are not included. The internet is fast and free.

Children are very welcome although you should take note , the pool is not fenced. A baby cot and highchair are available.

Extra Services not included:

on demand, we organize a cook who turns your shopping to a great Mauritian specialty! She will cook  1 and same local menu for the entire group. Discuss the details with the manager at arrival.

NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Complex is located on the East side of the island, nestled on the beach between some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Solana, Long Beach, Constance Belle Mare and the St Geran One and Only hotels, the LUX and Residence hotels, especially their famous golf courses. You can follow the beach on either direction for long walks with the waves lapping your feet or jogging under the shade of the Casuarinas.

Belle Mare plage is one of the best beaches in Mauritius. It is more private and less crowded than the other main beaches.  Since it is less built up, it has kept more of the wild beauty that characterises Mauritius.

The village of Trou d’Eau Douce  and the town of Centre de Flacq are 15 minute’s drive away. Trou d’eau douce is a typical Mauritian Village with charming seaside snacks and Restaurants. Flacq at 25 minutes by car is not less typical, in the contrary livelier with its large daily bazar where you also find a huge Supermarket including food courts and Mc Donald, Kentucky, Pizza, Cafés ect.

Subject to booking a reservation, you can have lunch at one of the luxury hotels close to the complex either through a short walk on the beach or a short drive away. 2 local Restaurants, one Mauritian Indian, the other Chinese are 100 meters walking distance only.

Water sports are possible on the beach.  Also Boat rides including glass bottom, parasailing, undersea walks, windsurf, kite etc at extra cost.

Get Diving lessons on the beach too.   Fishing and Catamaran trips to lle aux Cerfs in Trou D’Eau Douce. Enjoy horse riding on the beach 5 minutes further south.
