Lescale is a villa to rent for short term on the Island of RODRIGUES, which is 400 km from Mauritius and known as a small Paradise Island for its lonesome Beaches and lovely people.

Rodrigues is a must for nature lovers, especially for those who are looking for quietness. Our House Lescale of 80 m² living space and terrace of 30 m² is upon a hillside, just 5 minutes away from the coast and the little capital Port Mathurin. While it is a small town, you will find all you need,  from nice Restaurants to Banks, rural shops and market.

Enjoy the marvellous view and most beautiful sunsets on the lagoon and this from your Terrace and pool.

The house is not modern, but simple and cosy, newly renovated (2019) and nicely furnished for 4 People. 2 double bedrooms look on sea or garden plus 1 bathroom with shower, also a separate WC.

Salon and dining, as well as the kitchen share 1 room; a second dining table is on the terrace and gives on the garden with a 180° view to the sea. The swimming pool is 5.50 m x 2.50 m large;

Generally, Lescale is quiet, as it is surrounded by nature. Our first neighbour is beneath our Property at 200 meters, others at 400 meters, hence you have full privacy on terrace and garden. Nonetheless, as everywhere on the Island, people do play music very loud sometimes; That’s part of Rodrigues!

Please note:

The pool and terrace are not secured and can therefore be dangerous for small children. Importantly, there are about 30 steps from the entrance and garage up to the house.

Services

A Housemaid is at your services 6 days per week (except public holidays) and will prepare delicious typical dishes for you if you do the shopping; She will help you for the choice of ingredients for specialties.

The Housemaid does the laundry, ironing, bedrooms and cleaning. In addition, a gardener tends to the pool 2x/week.

We provide Linen and towels without extra cost. Beside the good-equipped kitchen, you will find a Nespresso coffee machine.

Surroundings

Not only the beautiful beaches, like St.Francois and Gravier,  are easy to reach in 15 minutes only  by Scooter or car, but other beaches near Port Mathurin are at 5 minutes. too

You will find supermarkets, shops , restaurants in Port-Mathurin, 5 min by car . The supermarket Roussety has imported goods from Mauritius.

The best Deep Sea Fishing of the Indian Ocean is on our Island and only 5 min from Port Mathurin. You need to make reservation long in advance:  Rod Fishing Club Rodrigues

Another house, 5 min by car of Lescale, in case you are a larger group is Villa de la Vallee.
